ASDS — American Society for Dermatologic Surgery

The CDSFAP Case Log is intended for the Fellows of a Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship Program accredited by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery to document one of the key components of a the Fellowship.

 

The Fellows must participate in 300 cosmetic dermatologic surgery cases and observe 1,000 cases under the direct supervision of the Fellowship Director or Associate Fellowship Director in at least five of the eight categories of procedures identified in the Procedures Table.

 

At the conclusion of the Fellowship Program, Fellows will be expected to:

• Submit a full case log documenting his/her training experience.
• Have experience teaching residents.
• Write a scientific article for publication in a peer-reviewed medical journal, with preference to Dermatologic Surgery.
• Document at least two manuscript reviews for Dermatologic Surgery, in consultation with the Fellowship Program Director.
• Submit an abstract of the Fellow’s research to the ASDS Annual Meeting for presentation following the completion of the Fellowship Program.

Dermatologic surgery cases should be recorded monthly and can be accessed independently by the Fellowship Program Directors to review the respective case loads for each of their Fellows.
